January 24, 2020 – (Key West, FL). Have you found your look for the February 6, Key West Art & Historical Society annual Back in Time fundraising bash?

Revelers can time-travel back to the days of 1960s flower-power at Key West Art & Historical Society’s fourth annual Back in Time fundraiser on Thursday, February 6 from 6:00pm-10:00pm at the historic San Carlos Institute. Break out your bellbottoms, go-go boots, Nehru jackets, and tie-dyes for this ‘Magical Custom House Mystery Tour’ themed bash that includes a cocktail reception, delicious hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, costume competition, 60s hits spun by DJ George Aderhold, and from 7:00-9:00pm, a special live performance by the renowned Beatles tribute band, Let It Be.

Let It Be is a spectacular theatrical concert that promises to be the most mesmerizing live recreation of the Beatles music you will ever experience, with an auditory and costume extravaganza that captures the songs, sounds, and classic tunes made famous by the most celebrated band in history. With a convincing all-star cast of musicians that has wowed crowds from Halifax to Hollywood, Let It Be suspends reality to help audiences Get Back to the magical sixties as if it were the real thing.

Demonstrate your dexterity with the best of 1960s lingo, like, “Groovy!” “Can you dig it?” and “Far out man,” and find your 60s style inspiration from classic films like “The Graduate,” “Hair,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and “Valley of the Dolls,” and TV shows like “The Brady Bunch,” “That Girl,” and “Get Smart.”

Event proceeds (i.e. all “bread” raised) will be matched by a Dogwood Foundation $100,000 challenge grant and support the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys’ Custom House Preservation Fund, currently earmarked for Phase 2 of the 128-year-old Custom House building’s mechanical systems upgrades.  The upgrade will replace costly air handler units and exterior chillers to help stabilize the award-winning museum’s climate controls.

Come Together to help support the 128-year-old Custom House building’s ongoing preservation needs and step “Back in Time” to invest in the future.
