The Society has four distinct museums to accommodate all of your rental needs. We can host a variety of events including weddings, receptions, fundraisers, corporate events and meetings for groups of all sizes. Our iconic museums provide a truly memorable Key West experience.
Key West Lighthouse & Keeper’s Quarters
The iconic Key West Lighthouse & Keeper’s Quarters is the perfect setting for your special event. Opened in 1848, the grounds of Lighthouse & Keeper’s Quarters are able to accommodate 75-100 guests. The air-conditioned Keeper’s Quarters, with its wrap-around porch, is a ideal space for bridal parties while the picturesque lofty fig tree (ficus altissima) is the ideal backdrop for wedding photos or ceremonies. The grounds can accommodate dance floors, tables and caterers with ease.
Looking for the ultimate site for your photographs? Look no further than the tower’s lower observation deck, complete with panoramic views of the entire island, nearshore waters and the Florida Keys’ majestic sunsets.
The property is centrally located in Bahama Village and is across the street from the iconic Hemingway Home. With exception of the tower, the property is fully ADA accessible and the Museum Store is equipped with restrooms.
Key West Museum of Art & History at the Custom House
Referred to as the ‘crown jewel’ of Key West by virtue of its stunning architectural design, the Key West Museum of Art & History is conveniently located in the center of Old Town. On the National Register of Historic Places, the museum provides two floors of gallery space, a wraparound veranda and the Helmerich Trust Research & Learning Center. The Center is a perfect space for meetings or small events.
While use of the gallery spaces is limited due to exhibitions (email for more information), the veranda is an exquisite location for wedding photos.
The Custom House is located adjacent to Mallory Square. It is fully air-conditioned, ADA compliant and has multiple onsite restrooms.
Fort East Martello Museum & Gardens
On the National Register of Historic Places, the Civil War-era Fort East Martello is a hidden gem. The inner courtyard has ample space to accommodate your wedding, reception, concert or special event. Capacity for the courtyard ranges 200-400. The central brick citadel provides a historic backdrop and offers magnificent panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from its rooftop observation platform.
Fort East Martello also has a large field, aptly named the ‘Parade Grounds’. Slated for major improvements beginning in fall 2020, the grounds will be ready for rental in spring 2021. Capacity for the ‘Parade Grounds’ is 1,500-2,000.
The Fort is located near the Key West International Airport. With exception of the citadel, the property is full ADA accessible. There are no air-conditioned spaces available for rent, however the venue has two onsite restrooms.
Tennessee Williams Museum
Dedicated to the legacy of renowned American playwright Tennessee Williams, the Tennessee Williams occupies the first floor of a building located on Truman Avenue, half a block off Duval Street. An intimate setting, guests can enjoy events inside the gallery space or in the rear outdoor garden. We can accommodate a maximum of 30 guests.
