October 20, 2026 – (KEY WEST, FL). On Wednesday, November 4, the Key West Art & Historical Society welcomes nationally recognized stained glass restoration artist Kathy Jordan for an illuminating exploration of the historic stained glass windows of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in a lecture titled “The Stained Glass Windows of St. Paul’s: History, Art & Restoration.” The talk, presented in partnership with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Studios of Key West, 533 Eaton Street. Proceeds from the program will support St. Paul’s stained glass restoration fund.
Described by Jordan as “a museum of stained glass in the United States,” St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is home to a remarkable collection of windows created between the 1920s and the 2000s. Beyond their beauty and craftsmanship, these windows offer a unique record of the church’s history and the Key West community. Each tells multiple stories: the biblical scene depicted, the artists and studios responsible for its creation, and the individual commemorated through its dedication. Together, the windows reflect generations of faith, artistic expression, and community life on the island.
Jordan is a nationally recognized stained glass restoration artist, conservation painter, educator, and president of the American Glass Guild. Over the course of her career, she has worked on the restoration of stained glass by celebrated artists and studios, including Tiffany, LaFarge, Clayton and Bell, Mayer of Munich, and Lalique. Her work encompasses significant historic restoration projects throughout the United States, and she has dedicated her career to preserving the artistry, craftsmanship, and history of stained glass.
“We’re delighted to partner with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to share the remarkable beauty and history of its stained glass windows with the community,” says Cori Convertito, curator and historian for the Society. “This is such a visually engaging topic, and having an expert of Kathy Jordan’s caliber guide us through the artistry and restoration of these extraordinary works makes it an especially exciting program. It’s a wonderful opportunity to appreciate a treasured part of Key West’s cultural heritage in a whole new light.”
To reserve your spot at the lecture; visit kwahs.org/whats-on. Tickets are $15 per person. All proceeds from the program will benefit St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s stained glass restoration fund, directly supporting efforts to preserve these extraordinary works of art.
