October 20, 2025 – (KEY WEST, FL). The Key West Art & Historical Society is issuing a final call to artists living and working throughout the Florida Keys to submit artwork for its upcoming juried exhibition, “Shadow & Light: Island Contrast,” opening December 3, 2025, at the Key West Museum of Art & History. With the submission deadline fast approaching on October 27, artists are encouraged to seize this opportunity to reflect on the captivating interplay of light and shadow in island life.
All original works created within the last three years are eligible, provided they have not been previously exhibited at the museum. Artists may submit one piece in any medium, including painting, drawing, sculpture, or mixed media. A non-refundable $20 submission fee applies and will help offset the costs associated with producing the show. Works will be selected by a jury panel of respected arts professionals: Dr. Cori Convertito, Elena Devers, Jane Grannis, and Carole Garcia.
Artists will be notified of acceptance by November 14. Selected works must be delivered between November 24–26, with the exhibition opening to the public on December 3 and remaining on view through February 15, 2026. Please note that artwork will not be available for purchase during the run of the exhibition.
