Step off the beaten path and into the heart of Old Town with Whitehead Street Uncovered, a guided walking tour presented by the Key West Art & Historical Society. Led by historian and curator Dr. Cori Convertito, this immersive experience reveals the rich history and architectural heritage of one of Key West’s oldest and most fascinating streets.
Beginning at the grand Southernmost Mansion and concluding at the iconic Key West Museum of Art & History, the tour traces a path through nearly two centuries of island history. Along the way, participants will discover the stories behind notable landmarks such as the Key West Lighthouse, the historic Asa Tift House, the original County Courthouse and Jail, and the storied Rock House Church.
Dr. Convertito will also spotlight the eclectic and influential individuals who once lived and worked along Whitehead Street—figures who helped shape the cultural and civic identity of Key West.
