Step into the world of one of America’s greatest playwrights on The Writer & The Island: A Tennessee Williams Walking Tour, presented by the Key West Art & Historical Society and led by Dennis Beaver, curator of the Tennessee Williams Museum.

Explore the streets and landmarks that inspired Williams’ most iconic works and shaped his personal journey. As you walk through Old Town, where Williams found refuge, creativity, and ultimately, home. You’ll visit theaters, bars, and historic buildings connected to his life and legacy.

Learn how Key West transformed a virtually unknown writer into a Pulitzer Prize-winning legend, and discover the local haunts and hidden corners that Williams returned to again and again.

Tour Details:

Date & Time: Tour meets at 10:00 a.m. in front of the Waterfront Playhouse and concludes at the Tennessee Williams Museum by 11:30 a.m.
