In conjunction with Tropic Cinema and the Key West Business Guild invite you to an evening celebrating Pride and history with a screening of the PBS documentary of Stonewall Uprising (2023), a powerful documentary from the American Experience series that explores the events surrounding the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City. These riots are widely recognized as a turning point in the fight for LGBTQ plus rights in the United States.  This supports the Stonewall exhibit that is currently on display on at Key West Museum of Art & History.

  • Doors open at 6:30 PM for a special champagne reception, offering guests a chance to mingle
  • At 7:00 PM, the evening continues with a celebratory champagne toast honoring the legacy of the LGBTQ plus rights movement
  • At 7:30 PM, the Tropic Cinema will present a screening of Stonewall Uprising
  • Following the film, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Dr. Cori Convertito, offering deeper insight into the impact and ongoing relevance of this historic moment
