Join us for a fun-filled four-day camp (NO Camp on January 1) where we explore the colorful world of fiber art! Inspired by past and present Key West artists, campers will learn techniques such as needlepoint, quilting, and printmaking to bring their own textile masterpieces to life.
Camp Dates:
This four-day camp will take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. There will be no camp on Thursday, January 1st.
Helpful Information:
Please pack the items below in a backpack for your camper each day. The bags will be kept in a designated storage area. It is important that all items be labeled with your child’s name. Backpacks, water bottles, and additional items should be taken home each day.
- LUNCH
- TWO SNACKS (KWAHS will not be providing snacks during camp)
- A light sweater (if your child gets cold easily)
- Change of clothes
- Change of shoes
- Sun shirt and/or Hat
- Reusable water bottle
- Towel
Drop-off and Pick-up:
Drop off and pick up will take place in the backfield, behind the fort, rain or shine. Please enter through the gates located at the back of the fort. The museum will be closed during the time of drop-off, so you will not be able to enter through the main entrance. Parents picking campers up before 3:30 pm will need to enter through the museum’s front entrance.
Tentative Daily Schedule:
8:45 am – 9 am | Drop-off. Please enter through the gates at the backfield
9 am – 9:15 am | STEAM centers
9:15 am – 10 am | Bathroom break and morning snack
10 am – 12 pm | Morning project/activity
12 pm – 1 pm | Bathroom break and lunch
1 pm – 3:45 pm | Afternoon project/ activity
3:30 pm – 4:00 pm | Pick-up. Please enter through the gates at the backfield
