July 18, 2019 – (Key West, FL).  Donavon Frankenreiter puts new spin on concert with “Record Player Tour” at Fort East Martello

On Saturday, July 27, from 7:00-10:00pm, Key West Art & Historical Society welcomes Donavon Frankenreiter along with his long-time right-hand music man Matt Grundy to historic Fort East Martello, 3501 S. Roosevelt Blvd for an evening of music from “The Record Player Tour.”  With more than a dozen full-length record releases and hundreds of songs written, Frankenreiter has become renowned for “funkified jams, stylish stomps, and feel good grooves.” Now he takes his love for analog sound and vintage record players to the forefront as he and Grundy perform as a dynamic duo – along with analog bass and drums recorded on vinyl and spun live on stage as their backing “band.” The concert is part of Key West Art & Historical Society’s “Music at Martello Series,” a program established to promote the arts and foster the Fort as a community venue.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for the “backyard casual” setup that will include food vendors and cash bar. Discounted tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 at Kwahs.org/events or $30 at the 6:00pm door opening.  Limited special VIP tickets with cash bar and seating available for $50.  Children under 12 are free. Limited parking is available, bicycling is encouraged.
