Distinguished Speaker Series | The Stained Glass Windows of St. Paul’s: History, Art & Restoration with Kathy Jordan

Event Details

In partnership with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, join renowned stained glass expert and restoration artist Kathy Jordan for a fascinating exploration of the historic stained glass windows of St. Paul’s in Key West. Proceeds from the program will support the church’s stained glass restoration fund.

Described by Jordan as ‘a museum of stained glass in the United States,’ St. Paul’s is home to a remarkable collection of windows created between the 1920s and the 2000s by at least five different studios. Each window tells multiple stories—the biblical scene it depicts, the artists and studio responsible for its creation, and the Key West community member commemorated through its dedication.

Jordan will explore the history and significance of these extraordinary windows, along with the art and craftsmanship involved in preserving them. Drawing on her decades of experience restoring historically significant stained glass, she will offer insight into the challenges of conservation and what these windows reveal about the people, faith, and history of the Key West community.
