Join us for the opening night of BECOMING: The World of Carole Faye, an immersive exhibition celebrating transformation, reinvention, and the stories held within the objects we leave behind.

Working across mixed media and sculpture, Carole Faye transforms discarded materials, vintage ephemera, and overlooked objects into richly layered works that explore memory, identity, resilience, and our enduring connection to place. From discarded buttons and textiles discovered during childhood visits to Manhattan’s Garment District to business cards collected during nearly a decade in Shanghai, Faye’s lifelong fascination with found materials has evolved into a distinctive artistic practice rooted in collecting, assembling, and reimagining.

Now based in Key West, Faye draws inspiration from vintage Florida Keys marketing materials, estate sale discoveries, roadside artifacts, and fragments of island life. In her hands, these remnants become paintings and sculptures that evoke nostalgia, community, and the ever-changing relationship between people and their environment.

BECOMING brings together works spanning Faye’s evolving practice, revealing a common belief that transformation is both an artistic act and a deeply human experience. Each reclaimed fragment carries a history, yet through Faye’s process, it is given new meaning and a new life.
