Two Hour Historic Harbor Tour with NOAA’s Matthew Lawrence on the S/V Argo Navis talking about Key West’s Submerged Heritage
Sail into historic exploration with NOAA’s Maritime Archaeologist Matthew Lawrence aboard the luxury sailing catamaran S/V Argo Navis
On Wednesday, December 17, Lawrence will lead a historically illuminating morning seafaring excursion presented by Key West Art & Historical Society aboard the luxury catamaran S/V Argo Navis, departing from the dock at Sunset Pier, adjacent to Ocean Key House at 0 Duval Street at 10:00 a.m. and returning at 12:00pm.
Passengers will enjoy Bloody Marys, mimosas or non-alcoholic beverages along with a variety of pastries as Lawrence explores the shipwrecks of Key West. He will relate stories of Key West’s maritime past exemplified by the submerged artifacts still present on the seafloor.
