The Key West Art & Historical Society is hosting a walking tour of historic downtown led by the curator and historian, Cori Convertito. Celebrate our magnificent island by joining our guide for a historic homes and their stories tour of Old Town. Discuss historic homesteads, the various architectural styles that make the island so unique, residents of note and the many uses of homes and buildings since their construction.
Tour Highlights:
Weave through historic downtown Key West, staying close to Mallory Square and the local street. Along the route, attendees will learn about several stately homes including the Captain George Carey house, Porter Mansion, the Oldest House, the Cosgrove House, the Samuel Kemp home and the Samuel O. Johnson house.
Tour will meet in front of the Key West Museum of Art & History at 10:00 a.m and will finish at the Key West Museum of Art & History at 11:30 a.m. Please dress appropriately for an outdoor walk. We encourage hats and bringing along a bottle of water.
