The Key West Art & Historical Society is excited to partner with Comedy Key West to offer a series of fun historical lectures entitled ‘Happy Hour with the Historian’. Attendees will receive a complimentary drink (beer, house wine or soft drink), and treated to a short presentation by the historian.

Historian: Cori Convertito Ph.D.

Topic: Through the Lens: Key West’s History in Photographs

In this richly illustrated talk, Convertito will discuss the role of photographs in understanding Key West’s history from its initial settlement in 1822 through the 1970s. She will pay particular attention to photographs of unique architecture, the role on industries, the effects of extreme weather events and the ways in which photographs help us see that which can no longer be seen.
