Garden Party & Fundraiser Celebrating Tennessee Williams

This Garden Party is the kick-off event and fundraiser for the March 2023 Tennessee Williams Birthday Celebration. It is being held in the garden at 1207 Whitehead Street, residence of Dennis Beaver, Curator of the Museum, and Bert Whitt. All proceeds will go to the Museum. There is an open bar, an abundance of delicious hors d’oeuvres prepared on site with a southern flavor and an exciting silent auction. And as a special treat, cast members from the Waterfront Playhouse will present an excerpt from the play Suddenly, Last Summer being offered at the Playhouse on March 12 and 13.

Suggested attire is garden florals. Judges will award guests wearing the most creative themed outfits with sumptuous prizes.  A floral-themed painting donated by artist Jane Carper will also be auctioned.
