VIRTUAL Happy Hour with the Historian | The Curator’s Job

2-June from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The Key West Art & Historical Society is excited to offer a series of VIRTUAL fun historical lectures entitled ‘Happy Hour with the Historian’.

Historian: Cori Convertito Ph.D.
Topic: The Curator’s Job

Have you ever wondered what the roles and responsibilities of the curator of the Key West Art & Historical Society are?  Our Curator, Cori Convertito, oversees KWAHS’s vast collections, such as artwork and historical items, and conducts public service activities for an institution.  Many objects and documents are important or historically significant. Curators preserve and organize the display of these materials. The work of a curator typically involves the acquisition, storage of collections, the selection of themes and designs for exhibits, the development and installation of exhibit materials, conducting tours and workshops for the public, planning special research projects and digitizing the collection to make it available online.

Happy Hour with the Historian is sponsored in part by The Helmerich Trust.
