Tennessee Williams Classic Film Series | Baby Doll
9-March from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Baby Doll (1956) 114 minute run time
In one of Williams’ more risque films, Karl Malden stars as a middle age bigot who can’t wait for his thumb-sucking teen bride, Carroll Baker, to turn 20 so they can consummate their marriage. But a rival appears in the person of a competing mill owner, Eli Wallach. Baker and Mildred Dunnock were both nominated for Oscars, as was Tennessee Williams for his screenplay.
