March 4, 2020 – (Key West, FL).  Key West Art & Historical Society announces “new” Development Director

Key West Art & Historical Society is pleased to announce the re-appointment of John C. Giuliano to the Society’s role of Development Director.  Giuliano has come full circle with the Society, where he served as Development Director from 2003-2005.  Giuliano has been in the not-for profit sector since graduating from Arizona State University in 1989 and a frontline fundraiser in all aspects of development, including capital campaigns and marketing in New York City and Key West.

“John brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and many decades-long relationships with him to this position,” says Executive Director Michael Gieda. “He truly cares about Key West and the mission of the Society.”

Among his many roles in philanthropy, John has raised funds for The Central Park Conservancy and was the first Director of Development and Marketing for The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall. He has guest lectured at NYU School of Professional Studies and George H. Heyman, Jr. Program for Philanthropy, and presented on numerous fundraising topics for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. After his first tenure at the Society, he was the Executive Director of Old Island Restoration Foundation and later at the Key West Business Guild.  Prior to his appointment at the Society, John worked as a senior philanthropic services and non-profit executive recruitment consultant.

“Being back at KWAHS and working out of The Custom House Museum with Michael Gieda and the amazing team that he has assembled has brought me full-circle and it feels like home,” says Giuliano.
