Professional Day Workshop: The Art and History of Sugar Skulls @ Fort East Martello | Key West | Florida | United States

The Sugar Skull workshop has become an annual tradition at Fort East Martello. With Halloween and the Zombie Bike Ride, being highlights of October festivities, the children are curious to learn about the Mexican tradition Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). In this hands-on workshop, children will decorate an authentic handmade Calavera de azúcar (sugar skull). This workshop is designed to enrich and educate the children about the beauty and purpose of sugar skulls and their role in celebrating and memorializing loved ones that have passed on. Ages 5 and up.
