Toby Armour’s short plays are about the ordinary women and men who were caught in these extraordinary times. Toby Armour’s Civil War Plays is directed by Karen Leonard. The cast includes Mia Schmitt, Suellen Schwobel, Glenda Donovan, Joanie Sullivan, Richard Quint, John McDonald, and Chad Newman.  The evening, which will also include live music, is offered free of charge.

This collection of short plays includes two plays set in the southernmost city of the Union, Key West. The Civil War brought to Key West Union soldiers, rumors, and riots, and it caused local emergencies that became the nation’s focus. The evening also includes the stories of women and African American slaves who fought in the war.
